This week offers two tracks: Building Track is for those beginning to build the skills needed to seek employment. This track has a focus on communication such as phone etiquette, interviewing, filling out applications, etc. Advanced Track is for those who want to look deeper into what it takes to develop a product and market it. Youth have an opportunity to experience the cost of doing business all while working as a team towards a common goal.
Culinary Week: June 20-24, 2016
M, W, F: 12pm—6pm
T, Th: 12pm–9pm
Cost: $25.00 and open to 7th-12th grade
This is a wonderful week for youth to experience what it is like to work in a service oriented field. This week includes server training, food preparations with Chef Mike, as well as plating and presentation. Students serve a gourmet dinner to the community on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The dinners are a fundraiser for CYC. Students learn so much this week and walk away with a true sense of accomplishment.
Students will also have opportunities to learn:~ Flower arranging ~ Professional Serving ~ Preparing Gourmet Meals ~ Restaurant Managing ~ Being a host with the most! ~ Table etiquette
Leadership Week: July 11-15, 2016
Cost: $60.00 and open to 7th-12th grade
Shift your perspective to discover the happiness, confidence, and success that have been waiting for you this whole time. To effectively lead others, we must first learn to lead ourselves. We’ll take what we learn and put it in practice as we work to improve our community through service projects during the week. Cost of $60.00 includes: materials, food, and excursions.
